The doppelganger song
Merriam-Webster reports that searches on the word “doppelganger” have increased dramatically recently. They attribute it to George Stephanopoulos referring to
Eat, Pray, Love author Elizabeth Gilbert as Julia Roberts’ doppelganger on Good Morning, America, but I think we all know
the real reason: the increasing popularity of the Nellies’ song “Your New Girl” (or as most people refer to it, “the doppelganger song”).
